Make a Plan but Flexible

Some days just don't go as planned. Today was an unusual day. I had planned to work five stores in my merchendising job that would allow me to finish by Thursday and take Friday off for crafting. Dropped by my mechanic shop to inquire about a quick oil change and tire rotation only to learn my tires should have been rotated months ago. The wire was showing and I needed two new tires for road safety. Since I'm big on safety, this large purchase took precedence over my plans for the day but surely I would still make at least four stores, right? Wrong!

I'm waiting at my office for a call to no avail by noon only to hear shortly after that the truck that was delivering my "mandatory or you'll die on the Interstate" new tires had been delayed by a flat tire. Doh! At least dinner is made for tonight. So, we're down to three stores, right? Wrong!

I was then held up on the phone in trying to conclude an insurance transfer when one problem after another threw a wrench into that conclusion. Then when I visited my first store, they ran me out with an unannounced inventory. So I'm down to two stores.

Okay, so I get those two stores done and make a quick run for gasoline fill-up for tomorrow and a quick run to the bank for a small deposit to cover additional expenses. By this time, it's too late to pull another store and I'm too tired from being up all night the night before worrying about what the mechanic is going to say in the first place. However, I learned to redeem credit card points while suffering insomnia.

So let's review my accomplishments for the day:
